Cost

Modularized processes are 15-25% less costly than the stick-built alternative due to the high price and lower productivity of field labor.

 

Safety

Operations can be controlled unlike a field environment which often has a great deal of safety exposure and risk. The result is decreased onsite OSHA exposure hours.

 

Timing

Modular construction allows for parallel working paths. For example, a process skid can be built at the same time that a tank farm is being expanded. The controlled environment used in modular construction is also less susceptible to labor issues, rainouts and other conflicts allowing for more scheduling flexibility.

Future Relocation
